Susan Murphy is a co-investigator at the d3center and Mallinckrodt Professor of Statistics and of Computer Science at Harvard University, where she leads the Statistical Reinforcement Learning Lab. Her work develops data analytic methods for sequential decision-making in health, especially for constructing and optimizing adaptive and Just-in-Time Adaptive Interventions. Murphy is a pioneer in using real-time algorithms to tailor digital interventions. She is a recipient of a MacArthur Fellowship and a member of both the National Academy of Medicine and the National Academy of Sciences. Her collaborations with the d3center include advancing experimental designs and algorithms that personalize intervention delivery.
